Robin Vey

I build interfaces and the foundations underneath them – design systems, component libraries, API layers, agent skills and more. At Magic as a Service™ I work on Mirror, Vue Equipment and the products built on top of them.

I trained as a designer at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam before moving into software engineering.

Away from the keyboard I’m usually with my family or in the mountains, climbing, ski touring, paragliding and cycling.

Work

  • First hire, working across disciplines to conceptualise and engineer the company’s technical stack, its forthcoming products and client projects.

    maas.engineering

  • I built prototypes, ran technical research, liaised with our designers and managed external software engineering partners.

    kms-team.com

  • A design and technology practice I ran after graduating. It changed shape multiple times as I worked out what I wanted to do, and carried me from designer to software engineer.

  • Designed and built print, identity and digital projects for various clients in the arts, culture and commerce.
